Recently purchased a Video Capture card for youtube, but now would like to use this to capture vhs-c(from camcorder) , using hdmi IN ...

the capture card is HDMI ONLY in/out hdmi

Problem is,the camcorder only has s video and rca outs...

Ive got great desktops with tons of ports, and i have a great led Samsung, but i don't think that has video out.... (UN55d6420/6400)

I dont have a vhs to dvd recorder.

And i need to get this vhs-c to a file or dvd, in the cheapest form possible...

My equipment.

Old vhs-c camcorder with Svid and Rca out
High end desktop w/ live gamer hd
High end LED

Please specify the brand/model capture card you have. The only one I know of that has HDMI input is the Hauppauge Colossus and that has analog inputs also.

Aside -- why would you buy a capture card to pull video from Youtube. There is any number of Firefox add-ins that let you download Youtube videos directly in the highest resolution available. You can see what the fox says in HD.

I have used a standard VHS deck with the VHS-C tape holder/converter to playback the tapes and record on a Funai VHS to DVD recorder. If individual units are used, use the S-video connection for the best quality. Once unto a DVD it can easily be edited and reburned on most PCs.
