I have used a Pal version of this machine & the 1st thing to say is the PQ is better than any of the Panny DVD recorders, the machine is a little bit slow to finalise a dvd-r, slower than panny models, it will work with cheap DVD-R's as well.

I haven't used one for about a month though as I work in an AV store & we sold both of our stock models, so I can't remember everything about it, if I can be of anymore help though please ask.

@Thedjstott
Do you know if the RDR-GX3 will support DVD+R? Not even DVDplusRW.org (the unofficial DVD+RW website) have any info on it.

@moderators:
Can you move this to the DVD Recorder Section?

Thanks!

Just like the GX7 the GX3 does not feature DVD+R recording, I remember reading why this was the case, but can't think of the details currently.
