Im just about to move to my first Plasma screen. I've been looking at various models available in my part of the world, and opted to go for a Fujitsu because I'm able to get a reasonable discount from a friend.

I'd decided I'd buy a 42" model, and thought I'd go with a 1024x1024 model over the 850x480 model because there is only a very small difference in price between the two models for me. After a quick last minute research here I discover that the higher res model is actually interlaced!? Is this correct?

As well as using this plasma for Cable TV and DVDs, I'd also like to connect my home theatre PC. The word interlaced really scares me...all I can think of is a flickering screen that causes eye strain.

Will buying this model be a mistake?

Will I get no advantage when viewing DVDs using my progressive scan DVD player?

I need help...
