I tried out a couple of discs recorded using the e50 on a NUMBER of different dvd players today...

inclusive of sony, pioneer, hyundai etc and the discs wouldn't work.

A mate made them on the e50.

Is there still an issue with compatibility with these things or is it possibly a disc problem?

any help would be greatly appreciated

1) Was it a DVD-RAM? If so, these are generally not compatible on anything other than the new Panasonic and Toshiba playback decks.

2) If it was a DVD-R, did you finalize it?

Generally, the Panasonic burned DVD-R's are pretty compatible with most playback decks, but the disk has to be finalized first (although it will play back on the E50 even if you haven't finalized it).

The Future ain't what it used to be...
