I had one of my E-80's inside a cabinet . This is BAD. It had done several recoveries , failure to hi speed etc. My other E-80 was on top -no confinement and was never a problem. I decided to put the misbehaving one on the top -open air circulation with max air conditioning flow. Not once in the last week has it misbehaved. Burned 10 DVD-R's of 3 kinds- performed flawlessly. DO NOT put any DVD RECORDER in a freaking box cabinet. Let it breathe. Put it on Top with no restrictions. It is not in the media blanks. These machines do best with air circulation around them. They hate Summer in the South. You North Dakota, San Francisco and Oregon types can ignore this.

The Lab called: Your Brain is ready.
