This weekend My Panasonic EZ27 suddenly came up with the U99 code. The closest I could get to any information was that it was possibly a communications problem with what I don't know I found this information the Panasonic DIGA Global FAQs.
I got it to come out of it by using the reset button on the front panel it's been 24hrs and it is still ok
To make a long story longer I sent an email to Panasonic service about it. They have responded with the following....
-Thank you for your inquiry. We do regret to hear that your product is
not operating properly. Based on the information you have provided, the
unit will require service. You may send the unit to our Service facility
located in Elk Grove Village, IL.
However, there is information that we need to send to you before you
are able to do so. We will mail the shipping form to the address you have
provided. Please allow 3-5 working days to receive. If you have any
concerns, please contact us by calling (800) 211-7262.

At Panasonic dot com they show a service center only 50 miles away from me...
I still have a few days to return the unit to circuit city. I guess it means goodbye panasonic,have already returned a samsung ar-650 I will now try the Sony RDRGXD455 and see what heck it will and won't do....
