I'm helping my gf buy her first home theater system. I've narrowed it down to the 2 systems listed above for these reasons: 1) Blue-ray DVD, 2) Internet Connectivity for Netflix streaming, etc. 3) Tall Front speakers, so you don't need a shelf or bookcase to mount them, and 4) Wireless Rear Speakers (yes, I know they're wired to a box), and 5) 2 Optical Audio Inputs - for adding audio from multiple other boxes like DVR, Network Server, etc.

I've read the boxes individual threads, but didn't find any direct comparisons. Just wondering if a) the wireless sub on the LG really works okay (and which likely has better bass), and 2) Sound quality comparisons (noone's likely listened to both, but may know something I can't tell from specs), and 3) is the lack of official DLNA support for the Panasonic something to rule it out. My gf does like to look at streaming video from Itunes, and Netflis. I like to watch current tv shows not yet out on DVD from torrents.

Thanks much for any thoughts.

Panasonic's lack of DLNA is a big drawback, but reviews of the lower LG HTIB (335/535) systems have been pretty spotty, especially on sound quality. I'm in the market too but holding off for now.
