My TV: Samsung UN46D7000
The surround sound system in a box I was looking at was the Samsung HT-D6730WZA. The room the system will be in is an old workout room that no longer is in use. Was storage for a year or so, till I slowly started migrating computers and electronics into it. Now its a little make shift media room. My budget is around 600 dollars. [It's roughly what I would pay for the system at my local best buy] I originally went on Best Buy.com just to get a base line price, and get names and numbers, and than do research, and I had a nice onkyo receiver and Polk speakers in my cart and such but it was way over budget to what I wanted to spend. Than I stumbled upon this setup, and it looks like it would work nicely in-sync with my TV.
I watch a lot of movies. Blu Ray. Netflix. etc. I play lots of games. I own lots of systems. I would use my PS3, and Xbox on this. My vintage systems are all hooked up to an older tv.
Concerns: Wireless rear speakers. While it would be nice to not have to route wires. It still concerns me on the audio integrity. I cant play it, too, too loud. So room shaking sound isn't a priority. Looking more for clarity over power. I bought a Sony theater in a box like 7 years ago. I cant remember the name or model but I only had it for 3 months and got rid of it because I didn't like it at all. I am not an audiophile. I kinda have stone ears, but buzzing, and other electrical noises can become annoying, and I do notice them.
