Hi. It's my first here.

I just bought this home theater system to use with my LG 55LX9500 Full Led TV. I want to get the sound of my PS3 and my satellite receiver with it.

My connections right now are:

PS3 to TV -> HDMI
Satellite Receiver to TV -> HDMI
E780W to TV -> Optical

Is this setup correct to get the highest quality audio and visual? If not, could you share other options please?

Thanks.

Hi cgnday, suggested connection.

PS3 -> HDMI cable -> Receiver HDMI IN-1
Satellite Receiver -> HDMI cable -> Receiver HDMI IN-2
E780W -> HDMI cable -> TV
TV -> Optical cable -> E780W Digital Optical In (TV)

Regarding the PS3 under the settings menu select audio then HDMI and finally Auto Detection. The PS3 will then "talk" to the receiver and set the audio output to match what your receiver can do. You will then be asked to confirm the settings and your done.

You can have it go into standby instead of powering down. It should be in one of the menu options. If you have trouble finding it, write back.

EDIT: See page 61 and 62 of the manual.
