My father-in-law wants a system to hook up to his tv and to play music, especially his old records. What's the best options out there for under $600 for the HTIB only? The turntable will be on top of the $600. Thanks in advance for the help.

That is going to be a tough nut as most, if not all, HTiB's have given up the Phono Input. Maybe Onkyo HT-S5500 to Onkyo HT-S7409 and purchase a Phono Pre-amp. The pre-amps are generally very small and can be tucked beside or behind the receiver and are usually under $50. You can also purchase a new turntable WITH line-level RCA output. They basically have the pre-amp built into them.

HD-DVD = 94
Blu-Ray = 120 ( 24 Warner red2blu )
