Hello,

I used to be a member on here, however I forgot my information and email. Great source of information. I really enjoy following all the threads. I'm looking to buy a 5.1 CH system for my apartment. I have been following the three systems which one can typically purchase for around $250:

Definitive ProCinema 60 $249.99

Energy 5.1 $279.99

Polk RM6750 $169.99

What do y'all think is the best option? I have a JVC RX 664V amp.

The Energy Take 5.1 is the most popular of the 3.

They're all small sub/sat systems and will sound pretty close. All come with 8" subwoofer and sats with 3" - 3.5" drivers.

Might as well throw this into the mix as the satellites are bigger than the other 3 and it comes with a 10" sub.

I've looked at the Martin Logan before. The price is misleading since it is traditionally sold around $300. I'm waiting for a price drop on the energy 5.1.

The Take 5.1 just went back up to $300. Is this a good deal or have ya'll seen this speaker system for less?

considering you said it was $279 in your first post, $300 is not a good deal.

$300 is still a good deal for the Take Classic system. Great sounding system at a reasonable price. Also the Martin Logan MLT-2 home theater system sounds great and it should be around your price range on a couple different sites. Still if it were me, i'd go with the Take 5.1. Whole lot of quality for your money.
