Hi all.

Here's my setup

Acer laptop > Lg HB905TA (HTIB) > LG 42LS575 (TV)

All connections via HDMI.
The HTIB handles all the latest audio formats. It works fine playing from USB/xbox etc.
when I try to play movies from the laptop through the HTIB, I can only get stereo sound.
The laptop is using an intel display audio driver, which says that the maximum number of audio channels the HTIB supports is 2 which I know is wrong.

I've updated the driver for the audio output (the intel display audio) and attempted using other audio drivers (Realtek) through the HDMI out on my laptop but the HDMI out is part of the intel integrated graphics chipset and so im stuck with the intel audio driver.
Anyone know how I can force the intel audio driver to play 5.1 through the hdmi out?

Thanks
