I have a home theater set up with the following components:

TV: Panasonic TH-L47Et5D with built-in Wi-Fi
AVR – Marantz SR5007

Speakers – Magnat 2000 series

I have all audio running through the receiver to the surround speakers, so that I'm not using the speakers on the TV.

Issue is, the audio from Wi-Fi content (e.g Youtube) is coming from the TV and not through AVR speakers. Is there a way to "push" audio to the receiver and enjoy Youtube sound through my AVR.  Also, when I play internet TV content, the STB audio continues to play. I assume there's any easy fix for this, but I couldn't seem to find it in any of the manuals. Would appreciate if anyone knows the fix for this issue.

Can you run optical from the TV to the AVR?

HDMI Guy is on the right track. The traditional setup is to run everything thru the receiver and just pass video to the tv. If you have a SmartTV or tv reception is OTA, then run an optical cable from the tv to the receiver and leave the tv speakers off. That way, if you are using external sources, a blu-ray player for example, the audio goes to the receiver first and just the video goes to the tv. If you are using your SmartApps, the video is already on the tv and the audio is sent to the receiver via the optical cable. You will have to select the source and inputs but that's easy with a programmable remote like a Harmony. Some have used ARC, which is bi-directional audio/video but it is problematic in that it's not really standardized so some setups play better than others. The same is true for CEC, which allows you control various devices via HDMI. Some work well, some don't.

Thanks Otto and HDMI Guy for the reply. I tried using ARC option ( HDMI slot 2 in Panasonic) and it worked.
