Hello everyone I've been reading this thread but can't seem to find help with my problem. I have a JVC rear projection that came with a stand. I want to get a HTIB but the receivers are to large to fit on the stand. Unfortunately cant get a new stand right now and because of where the tv sits there is no extra room. Are these systems made smaller (less than 5 inches high). I do not want one with a dvd player.

Any help you can give I would appreicate.

Actually, may be this one is worth a look athttp://panasonic.ca/english/audiovideo/hometheatre/scht40.asp. Digital receiver approximately 5 inches thick. But if you want something really good check out Panasonic's XR series of digitall receivers, they are thinner compaired to the analog ones, and you can always find a bargain on the speaker packages.

Sorry, don't have a picture of set up. The stand came with the JVC rear projection TV from BB. I did make a decision. Going with the Onkyo S590. Gonna sit the receiver on the floor under the table. Put the dvd and the wii on the 1st shelf and my cable box on the next shelf. TV on top of that.

Thank you all for your replies I really appreciate it.
