I'm expecting my HC1500 today and am pretty excited to say the least. I have already built a DIY screen using blackout cloth from Joann's stretched across a wood frame. Because I will have some ambient light I am considering painting the blackout cloth to a grey tint.

I've been reading some of the painting threads but have hit information overload point

Little confused on the right tint, knowing that it is not a perfect science and every room is different... I am considering Glidden EverMore Premium Exterior Flat but between the below tints I really dont know which I should try...any advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

* 00NN 45/000 ??? . . . "Dover Grey"
* 00NN 53/000 W/B . . "Veil" (~N7.5)
* 00NN 62/000 W/B . . "Universal Gray" (~N8)
* 00NN 72/000 W/B . . "Snow Field" (~N8.5)

Hey,

I have a mits 1500 and I just painted a artists canvas with the Black Widow mix. I used 4 parts PPG speedhide bermuda beige mixed with one part creatix auto air aluminum (fine) from blick.com (also where I got the artists canvas).

Rolled 2 coats of it on over two coats of Kilz2 primer. It looks Awesome! Great dark blacks, and whites and colors are plenty bright even in low lamp mode.

Given your projector and some ambient light I would go with 00NN 62/000 W/B . . "Universal Gray" (~N8).
