Hi!! I want to install a screen on my home theater. It's going to be a 102" size. Im thinking about using 1cm MDF as substrate , because i want it to be totally flat and smooth surface.
The room light is totally controled , its a bat cave smile.gif
Proyector : Epson Home Cinema 8100
Which should i choose?
RS-MaxxMudd HGC v.2
(for high gain contrast bat caves ht's)

20 oz. Delta Pearl Metallic #02601
12 oz. Liquitex Basics Silver
9 oz. Behr UPW flat

12 oz. Minwax Polycrylic - Satin finish
15 oz. distilled/tap water**

RS-MaxxMudd LL v.2(for lower lumen pj's and controlled light home theaters)

20 oz. Delta Pearl Metallic #02601
8 oz. Liquitex Basics Silver
12 oz. UPW flat

12 oz. Minwax Polycrylic - Satin finish
15 oz. distilled/tap water**

I consider my PJ a Low Lumens one , because in ECO mode ist just 450 lumens.

I would apreciate any recomendations. Thanks a lot smile.gif

That MDF will be "very" heavy, and should be sealed on both sides with at least two coats of Primer

6mm Sintra is a far better choice.

Go with RS-MaxxMudd LL

Thanks for the advice Mississippi smile.gif
I know MDF will weight a lot but the idea was to attach it to the wall and i figure it out.
My problem with Sintra is that where i live is not that easy to get. I'll look around to check if i can get it.

Remember , my priorities are Flatness and Smoothness . Sintra is perfectly smooth i know , but with just 6mm thick , would that be totally flat without banding? If i choose 6mm Sintra , should i build a frame first?
