I did a comparison with the Maxx-Mudd on half the screen and the plain Wilsonart DW on the right. I really liked the Maxx-Mudd better but my paint had too much orange peel. My plan was to practice getting enough water in the mix by spraying on some cardboard, get it right, then spray the entire practice screen (after sanding the left side smooth) with the correct mix of paint and water. Well, I added a ton of water about an ounce at a time. That seemed to help a bit but I still got some larger splatter marks. Attached is the last coat I tried. Is this acceptable or do I just need to get a different gun to spray?
