When in use you do not see that sheen.

One also does not see the Projected light over spill either.

Under normal use, Black Velvet...ALL Black Velvet will exhibit a slight sheen....it is after all "Dress Velvet". People don't go around wearing "Black Holes" for formal wear.

The comments were a bit premature since obviously they do not involve any actual effort to do a "real world" test.

Also, you can't get 9' - 10' or 12'+ lengths of WalMart Curtains.

Absolutely there are alternative "make do" materials to choose from. Felt, Suede-Velvet, etc. But years of experience and hundreds of projects have shown the Sy's Velvet to be an excellent choice.

GORENOX, I know you have a Carls ProGrey screen. Carls sells a very Black Adhesive Velvet Tape in varying widths. While not up to snuff with Sy's TBV, it works as good as or better than the Wally World stuff. Cost a bit more though.

But'cha know one has to try either / both to know that.

My screen case was covered in SY. The removable wall treatments are Joann and SY, Joann is heavier and hang nicer but they work just the same when in use.
