Howdy all ya all.......... smile.gif

They seldom come any smaller that this example, and still have two rows of seats. I call this type a "Pocket Home Theater"

straightbrowmHTcollage.jpg

Theater Room area is 11' x 16' at floor level...somewhat smaller once one stands up. biggrin.gif

Screen is 92" SF v2.5 4.0 painted onto Thrifty White Hardboard & Trimmed with 3.25" Black Velvet wrapped MDF Base Trim
Speakers are HAS #801 Audio Transducers (14 total) w/7.3 channels ( 4 @ Center - 2 ea R&L Main - R&L Rears - 1 ea. R&L Center Rear)
8 Aura Tactiles Transducers - 2 sections of Tactiles 4 directly in front of the Front Row Seating - 4 in the 6' x 8' x 8" Rear Seating Platform.
Sony STR-DA 5600es Rec
Crown XLS 1000 (Tactiles)
Outlaw LFM2 Sub
Epson Powerlight 8700UB at 12.5' Throw
Sony SDP590 BD-DVD
TIVO

In such smallish areas, especially those with angled ceilings that are so closed in, the Audio Transducers hold a tremendous advantage over conventional speakers, both aurally and acoustically wise . In truth, I always enjoy cramming in a Theater in a small Bonus Room over a Garage. Great sound / Images in a room most would think wholly undesirable to consider for such use always seems to be greatly appreciated.

......and that my Fellow DIY HT Enthusiasts is what it is really all about.

This is very cool. Nice use of a very small space.

Here is mine little, little space. Maybe some time in the future I'll venture into painting the BOC.

Leo,

If it isn't painted by the time I'm down in the SA area again, the "Squirt Job" is on me.

BTW...that's a great little "HT Crib". BBall Court is cool too, but I wouldn't want to try taking a 3 pointer from the Corners ! eek.gif

Thanks MMan, we can enjoy a cold one (or two) next time your down here.

That space has some SOUND!!! I'm sure your screen is impressive, but just the description of the transducers eek.gif.
I'm sure the audio / video experience must be quite a treat.

Leo,

It is. Anytime the ratio of Room volume to Transducer placement / quantity goes past a certain point, the effect becomes a immersive, virtual reality experience...with a totally seamless surround sound stage.
There's nothing like turning a Drywall wall into a screen AND a center channel in one fell swoop. biggrin.gif

Now then....that's all I have to say about that. This is after all the DIY Screen Forum. cool.gif
