I was killing time today when I decided to experiment with a sheet of Formica 959-58 (Matte White) that I had stuffed in a corner. The screen is 85 x 48 - 98" diagonal. I built a frame from 1 x 4 poplar, glued a 5mm sheet of luan plywood to the frame, the glued the laminate to the ply. Total weight is 30 - 35 lbs, so 1 person (me) can handle it. I pulled the "Hangman" cleat off my BOC screen and used it to hang the new screen. I took a couple of shots to show how the black color looks. I'm no photographer so be kind. I'm thinking if I don't like the screen after a while, I can always paint it. Total cost was $30 (the laminate was left over from a kitchen I did a couple of years ago. Next is to put together a black velvet frame. That project will have to get done next weekend. Let me know what you think of the pics. Thanks.

That looks great. Better than that paint you used on the other screen. I think I have that same keyboard. smile.gif

There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
