(didn't want to clutter up the other threads)

Just a quick thanks to everyone for their threads about the spandex AT screen builds. I've never built anything of this sort and after a week of work, am extremely happy with the result. It's a 110"-diagonal 16x9 and is being lit by an Epson 8350. White milliskin over light silver. Material is being held in place with Screen Tight (and .160 spline) and is dead flat. Just need to add the velvet border and then make some masks for 'scope and Academy.

Special thanks to MississippiMan for his advice in many of the threads here: "Just do it!".

Will try to post a couple of the lousy phone pics I took of the build stages smile.gif

2x3 stud construction (frame is free-hanging so it can swing up to allow access to back wall storage)

Frame assembled, painted - detail of corner brace:

In the midst of felt-wrapping frame:

Screen-tight hardware being screwed to frame:

Sophisticated system to stretch spandex prior to splining:

Detail of spline (used double channel for belt& suspenders approach), .160 spline material holds two layers in place very nicely. Should have mitered corners of Screen Tight (rookie mistake) but you can't see them once velvet border is applied:
