YES I am finally in, I just got the BenQ PE8700 and now I am working on a DIY screen for this projector.
Has anyone tried the Behr Premium style paints i.e.
Behr PREMIUM PLUS WITH STYLE Pearlescent
Behr PREMIUM PLUS WITH STYLE Silver Metallic

Need some advise with this I am considering painting a portion of the wall with this. Any suggestions would be welcome.

With little effort, you can find LOTS of formulas with these paints. Specifically the SM/MM mix from MississippiMan. Looks for his threads and anything by me or CMRA. Current "rage" is MississippiMud (made with the pearlescent) on top of Silver Metallic.

Something profound

angjoy, congrats, what a beast you've bought !
You're currently in my situation: look at this specific post o' mine...

Everyone: with a DLP like this, do we have to go on other things than pure white screen ? Or what about MM directly on a sheet of anodized aluminium instead of SM paint ?

Gimme a new firmware or some funky theory so I can run DVE one more time !

thanks Cricricri
let me tell you I was anxious to see what this projector can do so I pluged it in and projected on new dyrwall slightly primed and I got the much desired "wow" from my wife. Mind you that is out of the box no calibration what so ever. I was highly impressed. I ordered Avia to help with claibrating the projector.
I cannt wait till the HT room is done I'm agreesively working nights to finish ASAP.

I picked up some BO cloth but when I projected on the wall the size of the image was much bigger so Im going with using the wall as the screen.
