I’ve seen a lot of innovative ideas on the DIY forum including Mississippi Mud and Light Fusion, for example. Experimenting with this has been a lot of fun. MississippiMan has been extremely helpful. I really enjoy DIY projects and would like to also conduct an experiment to see how close I can get to the Firehawk fabric. I am surprised that I have not read in the AVS forum about DIY attempts to figure out how the Stewart Firehawk works. It makes sense to me that it would be possible to get a close paint colour to the grey-silver vinyl fabric. But the Firehawk also has an interesting coating that looks something like silver/white glitter that some kids wear on Halloween. I think that this coating helps reflect bright colors and the vinyl absorbs the blacks; combined they give better contrast than most other fabrics. Has there been any discussion in the past about trying to understand Stewart’s secret?
