I'm in the process of updating my screen. I have a 92" Dalite 16:9 pull down that I'm going to mount to a frame made of this : Aluminium Stretcher Bars
Once mounted, only the white portion of the screen will be visible. The black border will wrap around the frame. I intend on mounting the frame to the front wall and then surrounding it with light absorbing black fabric.
I'd like to use acoustically transparent material on the front wall since my LFR speakers are bipolar. I know many have used GOM fabric in their theaters for acoustic reasons. GOM
Does anyone have infomration on the performance of GOM when it comes to absorbing light.
I was considering using DUVATYNE which would solve the light absorption issue, but I think it would affect the acoustics to much.
