Hi Venomous, I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before but anyway my recommendations as far as my collection goes are (I don't have that many though) :

Chris Botti "Live in Boston" and "Live with Orchestra and Special Friends"
John Mayer "Where the Light is, Live in Los Angeles"
Diana Krall "Live in Rio"
George Michael "Live in London"
Sting "Bring on the Night" and "Live in Berlin"

My SACD library:

What is really needed are blu-ray studio albums with NO VIDEO, just music. Concerts are rarely recorded well.

There are some audio only discs available. Put blu ray audio into amazon search in music. Most are all classical recordings. Tom Petty has a couple.

Yes, Rush, Tom Petty and a half dozen classical does not a selection make.

Agreed there needs to be more, but recent releases have also included Steven Wilson Grace for Drowning and re-releases of Pink Floyd DSOTM and WYWH, and Jethro Tull Aqualung on BD that are primarily audio. Steven Wilson has indicated that new MCH Porcupine Tree will be released on BD rather than DVD-A. Hopefully, with decent sales of these audio BDs, there will be more.

Yeah the doors la woman im very curious about and have it in my wish list.

I finally received my pioneer today, which allows me to play both DVD-audio and pal discs. I popped in the Howard Jones 25th anniversary live at indigo 2 which is mch 5.1.

It sounded incredible and I actually just ripped the 2 disc DVD to flac 48/24. I also got to play the bad haggis I got from aix records, which again was impressive.

I'm really hoping mch bluray takes off. I really enjoy mch music!

Today I picked up the Yes Symphonic Live blu ray.[the pq and sq are excellent btw]

If a movie or concert video or a TV show isn't on blu ray it darn well should be.

Two of my favorite concerts on BD that also have exceptional audio quality are Talking Heads Stop Making Sense and Porcupine Tree Anesthetize.

For pure appreciation of the music and Scorsese's direction, The Last Waltz featuring The Band and others is one of the best.

What do you mean by "multi channel concert discs"?

Do you mean "pop/rock" types of "concerts"?

Anyway, the 2L (http://www.2l.no/) blu-ray music offerings (combo of both a blu-ray and a hybrid SACD/CD disc) are excellent multi channel. Pricey but excellent. Search amazon for what they carry.

But the 2L stuff isn't pop/rock.

I have that and used it to show off my main stereo pair. My guest complained that "Of course, your system will sound great with such a great Blu-ray recording! How about a normal CD?"

My reply was, "I didn't buy this rig to listen to 'normal' CDs. The average CD actually sounds worse on a better system, as all the deficiencies become more obvious."

Of course, there are a lot of better than normal CDs, so I pulled out a couple and gave him what he wanted. Afterward we moved to a multi-channel system and put in "Grace...", and he had nothing at all to say when he got the full surround. He just shook his head as if to imply, "Why can't all music sound this good?"

What I can afford, when I can afford it...

This is a very good sounding concert. Terrible video though, very grainy at times. Excellent audio!

Ditto for the Pink "Funhouse" concert.

One of my most favorite is John Mayer "Where The Light Is".

Porcupine Tree - Anesthetize

Very good PQ and the best SQ of any of the almost 100 BR music/concert disks in my collection

No surprise with Steve Wilson involved.

Anyone heard Live from the basement from Radio Head?

Would like to grab this one, but think it might not be all that interesting.
