How come I'm only getting hissing when I try to play the disc on my Sony SACD player, PS3 or Samsung bd player? I can see disc info on screen and see the time of track counting down but I don't get any music. Also for multi-channel SACD what mode should it be played in so that there is no processing of the signal in the rear channels.

Sounds like your receiver is seeing the signal as PCM (Redbook CD) instead of DTS. You must have your source set to bitstream out and have your receiver set to DTS decoding.

Thanks Bill. This evening, I'll have more time to check it out. When you get into tweaking your equipment, next thing you know the clock is striking twelve.
