According to Steve Hoffman's facebook page (sorry, no link) he's doing the mastering for Going For The One. It will be another hybrid SACD.

"About to remaster for Audio Fidelity SACD Hybrid YES "Going For The One" with Stephen Marsh. I promise I'll find the bass for you. Not one of my favorite album covers though. Reminds me of gym class..."

Let's keep 'em coming! Tales is my choice. It's long overdue for a quality release. biggrin.gif

I'm waiting for the surround versions. Tales would be a good start indeed.

I would have to agree with you on this one. I bought the CTTE SACD and it sounds great but it didn't really blow me away. But to be fair I have no other versions of CTTE to judge it by. I think if CTTE was in hi-rez 5.1 it would be incredible. I'd love to see Tales in hi-rez 5.1 as well smile.gif.

My SACD collection, watch it grow and my wallet shrink ;-).

I have the original Atlantic CD of CTTE and the difference is subtle at best, still I just couldn't resist to buy it,as it is one of my favorite Yes albums.Going for the one,is not among those.

I find it difficult to get excited about a stereo upgrade of Going for the One...For me the album spelled the death of the golden age of prog rock, signaled by the dreadful cover art...kind of shelved it along with ELP's Love Beach (okay it wasn't as bad as that)

Tormato killed prog for me. Going for the One at least had Awake(n), one of their best last 8 minutes on their all time list.

I don't lurk as much as I used to and I NEVER listen. Comes from being old and cynical.
