A member from QQ Forum posted this and I don't think I have seen anything here yet about this but looks like another album has been put into 5.1 and looks like it could be very good based on promo video that you can find on youtube.

Here is posting from QQ forum for those interested;

Cool, yeah, I mentioned this release in the latest purchase thread once I saw the band post the news on their facebook page last week. I'm waiting for my disc to arrive. I saw BTE live when they toured for this album, it's really rock solid. I can't wait to hear it in surround sound. smile.gif

ps. Thanks for the link to QQ, I need to become a member over there!

Ordered. Thanks for the tip. Also ordered Magenta's Seven (DD 5.1) from Amazon UK based on QQ's recommendation. Have frequented the site for a long time, but not as a member.

I too, ordered a copy of BTE's 5.1 disk, and also snagged a copy of the Magenta Seven album Nil mentioned. I figure any chance I get to support Welsh prog, I'm in. (My Dad was born in Wales.) BTE is on the way, hopefully Magenta will be on the way soon too...

I like discovering bands I never otherwise would have considered listening to, because they have a 5.1 mix that piques my interest. I still have too much music to listen to in any sane fashion (unless I give up all my other hobbies), but it's nice to have choices when I browse my "library"...

Gave the album a good listen last night. It sounds great, a job well done! The vocals are strong out of the center channel, so that might turn some listeners off. I didn't mind it one bit. The track changes are off, imho. I've listened to the stereo CD a hell of a lot and I noticed on the DVD-A that the transitions often roll into the next track. Not really a big deal as the album does have a sort of interconnected feel to it. Some of my favorite tracks are Happy Day MãMã, Pull, Beautiful Mistake, Under You, Waxing or Waning?, New Kind of Low a.) Low b.) Coma and At the Stars. All in all, it's precisely what I was hoping for. smile.gif

Question here - does this title have a lossless 5.1 mix AND the DVD-Video 5.1 Dolby Digital mix?

The lossless mix is MLP correct? That's what my Oppo showed as being outputted.

You are correct the lossless would be the MLP layer. Thanks for your review on album, pulled the trigger and ordered from music valet website as was going to wait for it to show up on Amazon.

Never heard this CD before, but bought the DVD-A blind. Glad I did. I have listened several times and the surround is extremely well done. I thank members here you have turned me on to music that I would never have experienced if not for them. Porcupine Tree, Beck, I could go on. Members in this forum rock!
