IMO, the best solo album of any Yes alumni and an album that screams out for a surround treatment is coming out in 5.1. This is a first day reservation for me. Hopefully it will be done by Steven Wilson and not the guy who did Squackett. I was a bit disappointed in that surround mix, even though it is the best way to listen to the album.

However, I can tell you that there is a 5.1 mix of Fish Out of Water which is in the completion stages at the moment and should be available at some point this year.
Jeff Fire likes this.

While I wore the tracks off the vinyl of this album, the CD I purchased a few years ago is almost unlistenable. No bass, every flaw accentuated and the vocals revealed how strained his falsetto really was. I hope they use the original master tapes (if possible) to let this shine again.

I don't lurk as much as I used to and I NEVER listen. Comes from being old and cynical.

Agreed 100%. I have the UK vinyl and it always was an absolute joy to listen to. His bass lines in particular are well defined. You could really appreciate his technique with the Rickenbacker. The CD, OTOH, is a mess. In fact, I've only listened to it once. My ears were in pain.

Great news! I am confident that it will sound better than my 8-track tape!

If it's anything like CS's projects in the past, it could be years... Let's hope not.

I think it was supposedly coming out late this year, but that info came out the same time it was announced. Yeah, Squire is notoriously slow. He might be the only member of Yes that every other member wanted to kick in the butt. And that's saying something, considering that bunch. biggrin.gif
