Steven Wilson 5.1 Mixes

While listening to the recently released Gentle Giant blu ray in 5.1 (mixed by Steven Wilson) I thought what a gorgeous mix. Then I started naming off of the top and in no particular order, what are my top five favorite SW 5.1 mixes. Mine are below, it would be interesting to know, what are yours.

Insurgentes – Steven Wilson

King Crimsom – Lizard

Yes –C lose To the Edge

Jethro Tull - Aqualung

ELP – Tarkus

Gentle Giant – The Power and the Glory

I have Gentle Giant on order, and going by the reviews that have been overwhelmingly positive, I expect this to make my list. Other favorites, based on remixes that improved on the original (to these ears):

In The Land Of Grey And Pink - Caravan
Islands, Lizard, LTiA - King Crimson
Aqualung, A Passion Play - Jethro Tull

You will enjoy the Gentle Giant. The mix is creative and it has clean resolution.

I know this is off topic but, I heard a ML system configured similar to yours at the last AXPONA audio show in Chicago and it sounded great. That system was one of my favs of the show.

I <3 ESL's. I'm even tempted to pick up some used ESL's for the rear surrounds but I know those channels aren't that important to tonally match. Everyone who hears my system gets this face: . I didn't really care for 5.1 music until I got the 5 channel ESL's going.
