What exactly do you mean? No slow sections and dynamic? Or... What are your clasical or otherwise musical interests?

I've listened to The Perfect Sound Hong Kong High End Audio Visual Show Demo SACD 2008 - great stuff...
Does anyone have back cover or tracklist in English?

Well, I splurged today! I bought Roxy Music's Avalon SACD, Neil Young's Greendale DVD-A, and Frankie Goes to Hollywood's Rage Hard SACD. I am preparing for some excellent music this week!

What's the take on the Art of Noise discs? What are they similar to? I'm a fan but like some albums more than others.

thanks-

Daft is one of the more abstract/experimental releases by The Art Of Noise but it contains one of their most well known tunes -"Moments in Love". The SACD sounds quite good to me.
I don't own Reconstructed, but I understand it is a live album with most of the material performed being from the album "The Seduction of Claude Debussy".

Guess I'll try them both; I'm fond of "The Seduction.."

How about the Frampton Comes Alive DVD-A? Always liked "do you feel.." and fry's still has it on the rack.

thx-

Emerson Lake And Palmer-Brain Salad Surgery[3 disc version]

If a movie or concert video or a TV show isn't on blu ray it darn well should be.

Kind of blasphemous, but I ordered Beck's Sea Change DVD-Audio. I made up for it by getting Brothers in Arms SACD import as well

Both were on backorder but more reasonably priced than Amazon, even with tax and shipping (ordered from bestbuy.com)

In about a month, I have whipped up a pretty decent collection!

Preferably in SACD with a good 5.1 mix.

I heard it last night by the NSO at The Kennedy Center conducted by Itzak Perlman(SP?). It was wonderful.

Beethoven's 9th in MCH SACD by LSO conducted by Haitink (I've searched in vain for a reasonably priced 9th by Addabo to complete the DVD-A cycle--I have 1-8--so I bought the Haitink to complete a MCH hi-res set, however inelegantly). I suppose I'll eventually get the rest of the Haitink but I'm in no rush.

Last SACD I bought was a few weeks ago. It was a 2006 Deutsche Grammophone release of The Rite of Spring from the LA Philharmonic at the Disney concert hall. It also has Night on Bald Mountain and Bartok's The Miraculous Mandarin.

Great find that sounds awesome

Like you, I had all the Abbado Beethoven dvd-a cycle except the ninth, which was terribly overpriced. One day I was perusing Amazon's music section and found the 9th at a ridiculously low price of $11.49!!!! It was at the bottom of a list of sellers asking $80.00 or more. I bought it immediately and a week later it arrived, NEW and UNOPENED. I must have searched for weeks before striking gold, so keep looking.

Kal,

I was hoping you would respond. Thank you.

During Tchaikovsky's 6th, the bass players produced what appeared to be a buzzing sound. They had attached some sort of metal apparatus to their basses. If you know, would you expalin how that works. I had never heard it before.

Also, portions of the second movement sounded very familiar. It must have been used as a movie or TV theme song. Any idea where I might have heard it so many times to make it sound so familiar. Or is it one of those movements that gets used by many?

Thanks,

Dunno. Familiar to me from the symphony.
