Steve,

It looks like importcds has it for $21.93 plus shipping which is usually $2.99.

For anyone interested in Bryan Adams, Reckless (probably his most famous album) is being released in a deluxe 4 disc set (includes a concert video DVD, along with a Blu-ray with 5.1 mixes of the album). The BD is also available as a standalone release (or will be in November, if memory serves). Not a huge fan but that particular album was a huge part of the "soundtrack" of my last year of high school and first year of university, so I'm likely to get the standalone BD.

Well sure enough it was a mint used copy of the Soular Energy APO SACD. Kind of strange to see a used copy of anything from importcds. But it was a good buy.

I did a comparison of the track Sweet Georgia Brown between both SACDs. I found that there were subtle differences between the two but my preference would be the APO SACD. The bass seemed fuller and to have more impact. The top end specifically the cymbals had a more lifelike sound. It is great that APO did this SACD as the Groove Note SACD is long out of print. So I would highly recommend the APO SACD of this excellent jazz album .

Surfing eBay I just noticed a pretty good deal on Billy Joel/The Stranger ($50 shipped/mint). It's a nice sounding disc and I've seen it for quite a bit more.

Dan,

The Songs From The Big Chair Blu-ray has not been released yet. The importcds listing shows a Nov. 10th release.

There is an stereo SACD-SHM release of this that from Amazon looks OOP. But the upcoming BD-A, if it is MCH as SA-CD.net lists it, then it should be better ... IMO far better.

Jeff,

The reviews of the Songs From the Big Chair SHM-SACD are mixed over at the Steve Hoffman forum. The Blu-ray will definitely be the way to go as it is 1/2 the cost and has a multichannel mix from Steven Wilson. This was one of my favorite albums from the 80's so I'll be getting the Blu-ray audio.

Is there nothing Steven Wilson wont re-mix ,

It's a great album, and a huge jump from Mad World which sounds very compress/canned which I always assumed it was because of early digital equipment of the time! But if anyone can make sound a little better it would be Mr. Wilson

Hmmm, this album has Mad World on it?
Not to be negative but that's the only song by TFF that I like but I like it a lot.
Might be worth the price just for that in 2 channel and 5.1.
Sorry, I see that Mad World is from their first album, oh well.

On another topic, finally received the AF SACD Peter, Paul and Mary In The Wind.
Bloody incredible.
Never much of PPM fan until I saw a PBS show on them a while back.
I was a little too young the first time around to appreciate their music.

This SACD is as good as it gets. Organic, real and dynamic.
I have the previous PPM AF SACD and while it is very good it does show it's age a bit but this one fantastic.

My replacement copy of Opeth's Pale Communication came today. The original release had the FL speaker out of phase on the 5.1 mix.

The defective 5.1 Blu Ray layer is FUBAR but the stereo mix is unaffected and plays perfectly. If anybody wants it, it's yours for the price of shipping plus 3% for paypal. It will be the Blu Ray disc only.

BTW, the 5.1 mix (by Steven Wilson) is simply outstanding.

I reject your reality and substitute my own.
