The MOFI American Beauty SACD was remastered by the staff at MOFI from the original master tapes. I'm not sure who at MOFI did the mastering but it is definitely not from any other release.

The Joe Henderson Lush Life SACD arrived today and I didn't realize there was a multichannel mix. A nice extra that I wasn't expecting .

Enjoy. (In fact, I think I'll set aside some time tonight to listen to my copy, with a good single malt to fight off the typical Canadian winter night we're going to have.)

I did not know there was a Bread best of much less one in MCH. I will look for it.

I got everything except the Blu-ray Audio by Nat King Cole and the Van Kliburn from Acoustic Sounds. And "eclectic" is my middle name (as far as music and movies go).

I believe on this AF SACD that Steve Hoffman only does the mastering on the stereo mix. The multichannel mixes on the AF SACDs are normally the originally released mixes. Here is a thread from the SH forum where "The Best of Bread" SACD is discussed.

As much as I'd like to have this one, I'm having a hard time justifying the purchase, but that's just me. The preorder is kind of pricey up here at $38, considering not all of their hits are on this one. I'll likely stick with the anthology on cd. Geez look at me would ya, not making a purchase based on common sense for a change.

How are you guys storing your Hi Rez physical disc, I'm running out of space quickly in my standard made disc rack. With all the odd shapes SACD, & Dvd-a's it cheats me out of half dozen or more spaces that can be use. The rack looked pretty cool on the site where I purchased it, but up front it give me a cheap vibe!

I'm in the long drown out process of getting rid of 85-95% of my redbooks , either way it wouldn't help me out much as they where in a box in my closet.

Would love to hear how you guys do it.

I got a couple of Kallax units from Ikea for LP storage and DVD SACD DVD-A Blu Ray storage. Almost all my rebooks are ripped and stored in the basement. The Kallax line comes in different colors and is easy to assemble even for an Ikea product. And the price is nice.

If the high-res source is a PCM stream (from say an MLP DVD-A), I re-encode to FLAC and save on my NAS, same too for red-book CD's. For Blu-ray audio disc's, I extract and save the DTS-HD MA stream. And for SACD's I would extract and save the DSD stream (if I had the capability)

Thanks guys, so I'm going the same direction you guys have been with the standard CD's ! I really don't mind Hi rez stuff, looks like I would have to get a second rack unit once they're too much.
