Do any of you know of a source for good Trance or Chill DVD-A or SACD's? Something like BT, Tiesto, Okenfold, Deep Forest, etc?

Please comment on my home theater and bedroom theater projects!

I know nothing about this release. I happened to be perusing the wares at Fry's when I found this http://shop4.outpost.com/product/462...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG. Good Luck.

I have "This Binary Universe" but still haven't listened to it all the way through yet. I planned to do that later this week.

Do you know where I could get that Deep Forest album? The only copy I've found is used on Amazon.

Please comment on my home theater and bedroom theater projects!

Consider this Sony single-layer SACD out-of-print. However, I think you can still find new copies floating around out there. Just be patient.

Wow I haven't heard my redbook version in years, wouldn't mind hearing this in surround with the craziness of the jungle sounds bouncing from speaker to speaker.

I've got Deep Forest's "Music Detected" in redbook. Some of my favorite female vocals. I love Beverly Jo Scott.

DJoel

The SACD is stereo, not multichannel.

The only 5.1 trance SACD's I'm aware of are:

Paul Van Dyk - Reflections
E Nomine - Die Prophezeiung

both out of print.

For dance/electronica stuff you can also check out

Schiller - Leben
Groove Armada - Vertigo
Groove Armada - Lovebox
Groove Armada - Goodbye Country Hello Nightclub

Leben and Vertigo are still in print as far as I know.

Yeah I have both Grove Armada Vertigo, and Good-bye Country.....I did n't know Lovebox was out on Sacd...

Also on Sacd The Art Of Noise, there are two but I only have one the live one , don't know if it's 5.1

I wish the Boards Of Canada would release some hi rez stuff like Music Has The Right would be nice

You may want to check out either of the 2 Blue Man Group DVD-Audio discs.
They have some trance elements in them and are quite good.

+1

I am always surprised that there is not more music in this genre in high rez multi-channel. Every detail and sample is sctrutinized over one would think artists would value the higher resolution playback. Perhaps the cost is a detourant?

I would love to see some stuff from BOC, STS9, RJD2, Blockhead, Sphongle, etc...

I'd love to hear some Above and Beyond, Timo Maas, Oceanlab and Kristy Hawkshaw in SACD.

Actually, the Propellerheads "Decksanddrumsandrockandroll" would be awesome in SACD with the trumpets.

BTW, my vote for the best Video Game soundtrack is Forza 2. Man there is some choice techno tracks on there including a sweet Natasha Beddingfield remix.

Please comment on my home theater and bedroom theater projects!

Future Sound Of London would be awesome on Hi Rez, and like I mention earlier The Boards Of Canada just fantastic even in redbook.

I didn't logged on the link but will do once I get home, Timo Maas is fantastic a Florida native David

Not SACD or DVD-A, but 5.1 DD: Speed Tribe by Daniel B. and Patrick Codenys from Front 242 (old industrial cold-wave act that changed sounds in 1993.

Also, Underworld Live - Everything, Everything.

Gonna bump this thread. Super old, but still a valid topic. Anything changed in the last few years or has this hope become even more faded?

These are all mulichannel SACD's pretty much electronic.
Le Silence (this is actual trance but good luck finding it)
Reflections (trance)
3 groove armadas
deep forest (trance)
leiben (trance)
goldfrapp
bjork
DJ Krush (tecno)
both pink floyds (just because)

These are surround but not SACD
badboy bill
hybrid
awaken
crystal method
These are surround but not SACD

Best EVER
Tipper surrounded (this dvd audio puts all other to shame)

I have all of these except love box by grove armada. I have the best non-classical sacd collection. I really buy all of the multichannel sacds. I am always looking and always buying. Feel free to ask me a question...... or for help or whatever.
