I know that you guys have questions regarding the tracking process. My package says the same thing. There are number of things that causes this.

#1. The retailer can place a shipping label on the package, but the package has not been picked up. In some cases, retailers may have only one pick-up a day or even 2-3 pick-ups a week. Thus there is a delay in shipping. The package has not been scanned within UPS or FedEx's system. Thus no tracking information is showing.
#2. Could be issued the wrong tracking number.
#3. Tracking number needs to be reissued. I have experienced this with FedEx, as their tracking numbers start with DLS...

So it can be a number of factors, but most likely its associated to #1.

Anyone know why this doesn't show up on the Premier Acoustics website? It looks like the PA-12W is very similar to the H-100.

Most likely they do not perform updates on their website. Ebay is their main store front, while the website is used for general information, but with the ability to checkout products.

I don't buy it. This sub has been around for nearly three months now. I would expect the site to be updated.

Also, consider that their standard 10" sub is more expensive than this 12" sub even through their online retailers. Makes me wonder......

I am very patient as my customers are very patient when it comes to heavy backorders. Both retailers are going through heavy backorders, due to the Nov/Dec Holidays.

If you're willing to go to $500 and you dont have room/space issues, I'd go with a bigger single sub to get full range. I'm very happy with the PA-120, and it does get down to 24Hz, but for $500 I'd go with something that would exend down to 18 or 20Hz like an Elemental Designs A3, HSU VTF-2, or SVS PB-10. Those would probably sound just about as loud as 2 PA-120s as well so long as your room isn't weird or huge (over 5000 cu ft or so)

...mother@#$%#$. Bumped from the 9th, to the 12th, and now the 14th.

Why has it been sitting in Vegas for two days? I called earlier and they again assured me it was "in their possesion". I guess it's not a big deal but I really did want it for this weekend. At least the status now reads, "In transit".

My package is in the same shipment as yours. It was first delayed to the 9th, and has since been on the same step for the last two days.

Code:
LAS VEGAS, NV, US 01/06/2009 9:42 A.M. PICKUP SCAN

Here's hoping it doesn't and somehow miraculously changes. Everyone said "FAST SHIPPING" with Mike's business, and its been over a week since I ordered the thing (luckily it was in stock).

Has yours shipped? I bought mine yesterday in Black and received this from UPS today:
LAS VEGAS, NV, US
01/08/2009 10:19 P.M. DEPARTURE SCAN
01/08/2009 6:58 P.M. ORIGIN SCAN

Tracking results provided by UPS: 01/09/2009 2:23 A.M. ET

So mine is on its way

Was yours back ordered?

My UPS shipment just pulled the ole' switcheroo. Shipping delivery went from 1/09 to 1/13.

I'd complain to UPS, but I am not the seller.

Based upon Capn's post, I seriously wonder if he didn't truly get these to UPS until yesterday. I was originally supposed to RECEIVE mine today. I'm going to call UPS here in a while (again) and find out wtf is going on. I'm not sure who's fault it is, but someone let them sit around for a few days.

*edit* Well, it was UPS' fault. They can't tell me WHY it sat there for two days, but they certainly can apologize for it. I'm pretty irritated, but this certainly isn't Mike or Acoustic Sound Design's fault. It's just the two delays combined makes it almost a week late, and again I wanted to show it off to guests this weekend. :/

Mine had a departure scan last night 10:19pm as well then arrival in Ontario, CA 4 hours later. Why it was sent west when I live all the way in NJ is beyond me. Or why all of the packages sat for over 2 days is another question. Now my original delivery scheduled for the 8th, moved to the 13th is now moved again to the 15th!

Mine is on its way and moved from the 14 to the 15. No biggie. Lets just hope it sticks with the schedule. It was sitting in sin city for 2days. Too many subs not enough trucks. Or....too many orders not enough subs.

What is "tight" in your understanding? The "tightness" is carried by higher frequency sound, i.e. by the main speakers, not the subwoofer.

I've been following this thread for quite a while. It's interesting how the accent of discussion shifted from the merits of the sub toward the delivery problems and the desire to have it yesterday.

But why is everybody so hooked on this? This seems to be a very new sub, only few people have it, some opinions in this thread are from people who are coming from Bose Acoustimass or adding a new sub to their bookshelf setup. Of course it will sound great for them! And the thread starts with an incredible deal through live.com that is no longer there...

So, why purchase PA-120 from ebay for $229 now when one can buy the "original" well-reviewed and well-measured H-100 for $240 from sounddirect web site?

The bigger question is why the H-100 and the new 10" models are more than this PA-120? Plus, why isn't it on their website? I would think people would be more concerned about that than how soon they are getting this.

Fantastic way to discount most of the opinions and posters in this thread all in one fell swoop. Personally, I haven't come from any Bose or HTiB POS, but thanks for lumping us all together. Now I remember why I hardly ever post here.

Since you've been reading, you'd know that most of us currently posting ordered this sub at around the same time. We ordered it based on price to performance ratio and the reviews in this thread. You know why we purchased it, so why ask?

Finally, your awesome suggestion about ordering it direct is no different- that's still the same group of guys that all of us are dealing with. Thus there isn't any difference between ordering it direct vs. ebay, except the reduced risk that typically comes with ebay and Paypal.

I'm sure that many of us (well... maybe not me, based upon previous experiences in this forum) will shift the focus of our posts from GETTING the sub to REVIEWING the sub once we receive it.

I'll tell you why I think it's not.

...it's the same sub as this only with a different woofer. I'm not sure if you're aware, but Bic America got a cease and desist on using the copper-colored speakers that looked VERY close to a certain Klipsch setup. It could be in connection to this. It could be that they've decided to change their speakers based upon cost, performance or any other factor.

Not many of us (not me, anyway) are concerned that it's not on their web site. Also, Bic isn't Premier Acoustics, though it's certainly easy to confuse the two based upon the ebay postings or the confusion on the forums.

If all you have to contribute is negativity and no information... maybe it's time to move on? If you're looking for information, check back once people start receiving their subs.

Yeah, yeah, I know this argument "awesome for the money". Any sub will be awesome for the money for somebody coming from Bose $999 setup. And the live.com promotion discounted not only the price of the sub but a lot of the raving reviews as well, because posters don't forget to add things like "best $160 spent" or "very good value"... Plus really, is "thunderous" a good characteristic of a sub?

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to lump everybody together, please don't be offended, I just couldn't help but notice that the excitement really started at the time when the sub was dirt cheap, and now it's mostly frustration over long shipping time and anxiety.

The main idea of the post was to wonder: is it worth saving $10 over H100 now, and is the PA-120 really such a sweet deal NOW when its price is not $160, but $229.

And I mentioned going direct only because there is a coupon that you could use there that would make H100 $240 shipped. It's more expensive on ebay, I know.

Of course we all would like to have our new "toy" yesterday. Some people on here have been waiting for weeks even though shipping confirmation was sent. Not good business practice.

This sub is not a BIC America product. I read somewhere that it's the same manufacture that makes the BIC H-100. This would be the sub of choice for me and like many, it's a great sub for the price. You can either buy a used H-100 for $200 on craigslist or buy them new on ebay for $250 - $300. Your paying for something that is great but also alittle outdated. The PA-120 is new in everything and at a lower price. It's so new that even UPS is having a hard time keeping track of them.

Ultimately, the BIC H-100 is disconuited and outdated. The PA-120 is the new standard for it's price.

I meant to ask this question too, because I've seen people saying "new" and "old" standard in other places too. What constitutes a "new standard" for PA-120?

I would love to say that I am an AVS wizard but I am not. I moved from an onkyo sub to this pa-120. I set it up the day after Xmas. It honestly took a few days to adjust my system to it. I lowered the bass on my fronts, and adjusted the receiver. My Xmas tree was also in the way of where I wanted to put the sub for a few days. Needless to say the wife was not all that pleased with the purchase. It ‘pounded’ and consumed the space rather than blending in.
After the tree was gone and adjustments made. Totally different experience. My wife reported feeling ‘worn out’ by the sub attacking her ears before. Now it all blends in, Yes-it kicks butt, but it sounds great. She really digs on it now. I purchased to shake the house down, what I have found is that I enjoy all the other sounds this purchase has provided. So much more bass sound is now available. ‘Richness’ of sound may be the best description.

Loving it.

I wanted to buy an H-100 like one of my neighbors have, I call Mike Embers and he tells me the PA-120 is rated above the h-100 and the VK-12 is rated above the PA-120.
I buy the black PA-120, arrives within a week and sounds great. Neighbor comes over and says that the PA-120 looks and sounds better than his H-100.

That's why I ordered another one yesterday from Mike, it's the same damm chinese company making these much like most every other sub company...so I'm over it.

I'm bummed that there have been shipping issues and this thread has turned into a discussion of it instead of the merits of the product. Mike told me he's trying to get 200 of these shipped out. Again, under there 2 store fronts the've moved 10,000 item at 99% rating???must be doing something right...FWIW

I'll let you know when I get mine...

P>S. "eaf" Your post and especially your last sentence sounds like you're a competing vendor. I went to your sounddirect website you recommended and the domain is for sale...wtf? Here it is http://www.sounddirect.com/

No wonder you are called Angry-Albino. Very nice! LOL! I going to see what my wife's reaction will be. I have not told her that the PA-120 will be a part of our system. I will totally surprise her. I have (5.1) 8" In-ceiling speakers, HD DVD player, ATT Uverse, Pioneer receiver. I am looking to upgrade the receiver, to separates, but not sure though.
