I want a JTR adaptation or twist (within disclosure rules and respecting Danleys patent) on a larger/deeper horn!

Dual powerful 12's or a sweet 15 down to 18-20hz... YUM!

Could this new amp be used in a Cap S1 as well? I may be interested in a pair of Cap S1's to go along with my Cap S2 to smooth out the nulls and provide some extra headroom.

If the Captivator 2400 is currently at $2,599 and you are talking under $2,000, I assume that means $600+ cheaper for the amp module. Applying that logic to the Cap S1, price would be $1,800 or less each?

The impedance won't work however this is something that is possible (new driver). Send me an email.

There seems like there is a lot of interest. We're going forward with this project, start shipping by the end of May and have a preorder sale start May 1st.

No one has a picture of the amp yet. The last thing they are waiting on is the front plate for the amplifier.

The Captivator 1400 is less than 2db from the 2400. We had change the impedance and switch to dual voice coil to optimize the driver for the new amplifier.

They are just small and light enough to go regular Fedex. I use 500lbs rated, double wall boxes with 2 inches of foam all the way around so shipping is still a bit expensive. I can usually get them anywhere in the 48 state, usa for around $150.

Right on! If you do go this route I would maybe place the FV nearfield since the Cap will have far greater output.

Another member made a thread recently talking about how much he loved his Cap/FV15HP combo. He had the Cap up front next to the mains and had the FV firing right into the back of the MLP. Make it happen and report back the results.

From talking with jeff in the past on this. I believe they run around 250-500 depending on what is chosen. Obviously piano black would be your pricier of most finishes available.
