Hello all,

I just bought Energy RC-Micro 5.1 system and is yet to arrive. I was hoping to keep all my connectors ready so that I can enjoy the system as soon as it arrives. From the manual of RC-Mirco system (available on Energy's website), I see that the sub (ESW-CS8) can be connected in two different ways to the receiver.

Method 1: RCA - Sub In cable

Method 2: Speaker Level In

Although the manual says that only ONE RCA male to male cable is needed to connect from the receiver to the sub, but the connection diagram shows two RCA inputs labeled:

LINE IN/ SUB IN (Left and Right)

This is confusing. Which input does the RCA cable need to go in?

I would appreciate your replies as I am trying to order my cables ASAP.

Thanks

Either one is fine.

The sub internally combines the signals going into L and R together.

Thanks for your response. Does that mean I have to connect 2 RCA cables from the receiver to the sub? (if the sub combines L and R inputs)

Nope. Just one is fine.
Most receivers only have one sub output.
