Yeah, let me add to your compliment. I continue to love my two FV18s, which were the first ones Rythmik shipped last April. I use them every day. They have been a sonic delight.

So the fake shadow makes the sub look real? Isn't that an oxymoron like government intelligence, jumbo shrimp, freezer burn...

If you take yourself too seriously, expect me to do the exact opposite

On the other hand, you did just describe the point of CGI

The fake shadow adds depth/contrast/'pop'. Same way lots of popular movies have inky blacks and shadows with just enough detail.

Does real life look like an OLED TV playing the Dark Knight?

(Nope, but that is a good thing. Artistic intent and of course, eye candy plain and simple.)

I have been watching the Rythmik Clearance Page for months, to see if any L22s are being sold there at a discount. Not once have I found an L22 appear on the clearance page (nor have I seen any used L22s selling on the various audio marts featuring previously-owned gear) which leads me to conclude that the people who buy L22s are very happy to keep them. That's my two cents worth on the subject...
I also watch that clearance page for the same reason but, no worries, I’ve got to get rid of stuff first before I can bring in anything new. And I also figure that as soon as I pull the trigger an “F22” will suddenly appear although I doubt Rythmik needs any more diversity in their product lineup at this point!

Hey need a quick refresher on my dual FV15HP's as it's been 1.5 years since I've had any of my home theater equipment hooked up due to living in our rental house. Now that move in date is set for our new home in 2 weeks and knowing the home theater will also be complete, I'm questioning the best setting for the bass extension controls.

The room has been built for sound isolation/sound proofing with:
-Clips/channels, double layer of drywall + green glue
-Serena mat underlay + OSB tongue and groove flooring
-Stage filled with sand + sawdust mixture and triple layer OSB + green glue decking
-Riser one huge bass trap with proper insulation + vent grills
-Has proper acoustical treatment products in strategic locations on walls/ceiling for best sound reproduction for each seat

Knowing all of this, what would the ideal setting be for the 23'x14.5'x9' room? I'm planning on having it professionally calibrated as well and will also have a miniDSP 10x10HD, but wasn't sure what the best setting would be for the subs pre-calibration and also wasn't sure if I should change the settings on the subs for the calibration itself or if all of this would be controlled within the miniDSP 10x10HD.

Thx and looking forward to the feedback!

I have long wondered why Rythmik has never introduced an "F22" model -- I even inquired about it directly on the Rythmik website, but unfortunately I didn't receive a response. If you are good at building things with your own two hands (I admit that I don't possess that skill) it might be possible to buy all the parts from Rythmik for assembling a very fine F22. I'd love to see a completed project like that!
Since used L22s rarely appear on the market, I imagine that when I eventually click the "Buy" button I will be purchasing a brand spanking new model. I figure it will still be a great deal, even if I'm not able to find any previously-owned models for a few bucks less (especially since those used L22s seem to be about as common as unicorns...)

Your photo of the FV25HP is as instantly iconic as the monolith in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Best of success in creating the new Rythmik website!

I think the L22 is too new of a model to find used with any degree of frequency.

When I got my LV12R 2 years ago, the L12 had just come out... then LVX12 and L22 were added plus F8/FM8. Also, FVX15.

And now the FV18, FV25HP, F18, and F28, and the horizontally opposed model in the works.

Did I miss anything? :P
