I suggest you give the rf7ii a listen, then you would not want the rf82. I compared them.

You are talking about a substantial increase in price. The RF-7 II's are damn near $3,000.

Would a single Cap 2400 destroy 2 FV15HP's? Looking for some input here.

To Rythmik;

Any plans to have Josh Ricci test any of your products in the near futur here, http://www.data-bass.com/systems ? I think it will help sell your products and increase demand for them. I really like your products and think you have a great thing going on.

The FV15HP was tested by Josh R. several months ago and it's in data-bass.com already. We may send a F25 for him to test but it's not set in stone yet. The LV12R and the E15HP were reviewed by Jim Wilson, so I think that covers a good spectrum and customers can make decisions based on those reviews.

I think Rythmik needs to setup more places to hear their subs as I believe they have a quality to them that does not shown up on graphs and charts.

While Rythmik is world renowned it is a very small business and Brian operates out of a small warehouse. I've been to his place more than a few times and there simply isn't any room for customers to audition their subs. All you see in there is stacks and stacks of subwoofers damn near to the ceiling.

As for auditions, if you live in Houston area I can schedule an audition in my place. If you live in Austin area Brian can arrange an audition in his place.

How would that work? Do you have a demo unit for every subwoofer in the Rythmik line-up?

I do not. I have a pair of F12SEs only. If you want to audition a particular model then you have to schedule with Brian at his place in Austin, TX. I have customers coming to my place to audition and they not always buy the F12 but at least they left with an idea of the signature sound of Rythmik Audio subwoofers.

Thats exactly why I push Rythmik on all the audio sites that I'm a member off. Top notch products with top notch people bending over backwards to bring in new csutomers and keep existing customers satisified.

Are there any retail stores selling Rythmick subs? I am pretty set on getting one and was wondering if I could go see it in person as opposed to buying online. I am in the washington dc area in Gaithersburg MD.

Thanks!

No. Rythmik is an Internet Direct (ID) company, selling directly to consumers. That's one reason for their very high value---no dealer mark-up, which almost doubles the price of a product. But Rythmik offers a money-back trial period (30 days?), so if a sub doesn't meet your expectations (most unlikely) you can return it, paying only the shipping I believe. The best way to audition a product is in your own system and room anyway.

Any word on the sealed L12 sub???

I've been "patiently" waiting for this little guy
To add to my 3.1 bedroom set-up!

It is painful when I see Outlaw Audio offering their
LFM-1 plus for $499 w/free shipping!

Does anyone who owns an FV15HP know which dampening setting digs the lowest? I can't seem to get a clear answer on this.

Brian is pretty confident that we can have the L12 available by the end of the year.

Based on my graph, hi damping does. Low damping has steeper roll off.

Yes, mid damping is what I use now. For movie, It seems to shake my couch more than hi so I leave it as mid. I didn't want to use low as it cuts off at 15 instead of 10 in my room based on my graph I posted here a while back. I bought the FV's to enjoy loud low bass so I keep it as med or hi.

new subs?

I've been watching this thread, not very closely, for quite a while (more than a year?) as I wait for an opportunity to buy a sub or two. Oddly, it's looking like I'll get the opportunity in the not to distant future. This was unexpected, but I'll take it!

I've just spent the better part of two hours digging backwards in this thread, all the way back into July, looking for what I vaguely remember -- talk of new Rythmik subs coming later this year. Without success.

I remember something about a sub above the LV12R in the lineup, I think it was a 12" ported sub. And I'm thinking there was talk of one or the other sealed sub being replaced/updated? IDK, can't remember. And I can't find those posts. Searching is difficult when you don't know the name of something, or when the particular posts you're interested in occurred. Sigh...

So I'm going to act like a newbie here and ask a question I imagine most of you already know. What are the changes coming to Rythmik's subwoofer lineup? And any idea of when?

Some customers have asked where we are for the FV15 replacement? To make long story short, we decide to offer the follow new models by Thanksgiving:
1) FVX15 (DS1502 aluminum driver + HX405 amp). This has the same enclosure size as FV15HP. But the new amp without PEQ control can make it more affordable. The price should be around $999, plus $140 shipping. In terms of compromise over FV15HP other than driver and PEQ, the extension setting will have 1port music, 1port HT, and 2port. There will be no independent damping and extension filter control.
2) FVX12(DS1204 aluminum driver + HX405 amp). This model has a smaller enclosure (20"H x 17" W, 22" D without grille, grille and amp control add 2"). The price is to be determined, but my goal is around $900 including shipping. It has dual tune feature similar to FVX15.

Both this models should fill up the big pricing jump we have from LV12R to FV15HP. If the pricing pressure is too much, we may even consider LVX12 (which use less expensive paper cone driver) and by doing that we can drop price by another $100.

For sealed subs, we also have L12 in the work (300WRMS amp driving 14" cube) and other models... Stay tuned.
