Well not sure same servo amps and drivers. I am having a somewhat steep learning curve setting this up...I also seem to have keep toggling the amp on and off to re engage the subs..

Those Maggies are the 3.7 model. Magneplanar also offers one bigger model, the 20.1, and several smaller ones (1.7 and .7), all of them great speakers and real bargains at their price points. If you think the 3.7 is big, you should see the Tympani models Magneplanar offered in the 70's and 80's. The T-IV's I have are three hinged-together panels, each panel 16" wide and 6' tall (and one inch thick), making for a 4' wide speaker, on each side! You obviously need a pretty big room for a pair of them.

I leave my subs on and use an X10 system to turn them off. You could also use a SmartStrip or similar, or professional (e.g. Furman) trigger-controlled output.

Nice Maggies, though the new-fangled base still shocks me when I see it. I am jealous of your DWM.

Are you considering getting the Mye stands for your 3.7i's? They're not cheap, but it's a great design, and everyone who has gotten them has found them to improve the sound of their Maggies, especially the bass. I looked into getting them for my Tympani's, but that model is actually two separate stands, one for the two bass panels and a second for the midrange/tweeter one, at twice the price of the models for single-panel Maggies such as the 3.7i. I'm thinking of making some myself out of wood. The stock Maggie feet hold up the panels, but don't provide them much stability.

Is your amp the H600 (with DS1510 driver), or the A370 (with the DS1501)?

Ah, so you run the two subs mono, each woofer off one half the HX800? That amp is actually intended to power two drivers in a single enclosure, with connecting cables of no longer than a "certain" length. I'm not sure what that length is, but if they are too long that could be what's causing your problem. Check with Brian when he gets back, or maybe Enrico has the answer.

Yea it has a 20 foot limit. I have the subs at most 10 feet apart ..

yea not sure why they went to this base... on carpet it is very unstable.... I dont want to change out bases as the other solutions seem way expensive. Not to mention I have put enough money into my system including these subs.... I am having to figure out this amp as I keep having them clip... never had this happen before with any subs I have owned prior.... going to take a look at the gain and see if that is the culprit...

You get get small spikes to attach to the bases at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, etc. Or the audiophile versions from various places.

Also check the AVR's levels, it may be overdriving the input of the sub. And make sure it is not overboosting the deep bass due to a room issue or something like that. And double check all the wires; a bad servo connection could do it. You could also just as a test put one amp on top of the other and shorten the servo (feedback) wire to make sure the wire is not too long or picking up noise causing instability in the sub amp. It could be a bad amp, but I suspect something else is going on.

May be possible that the gain on the sub is too low and the AVR output is clipping, not the sub... just a thought.

The L22 Unboxing pictures are posted on Facebook. I'm really impressed with the performance of this baby. It integrates wonderfully with my Dynaudio's BM5 mkIII Monitors. This is for sure one of our best choices for near field monitoring. The sound is crystal clear and accurate as the F12 but with the power of the F15HP. Even though it's 28" tall it fits perfectly under any standard desk as you can see on the pictures posted on FB. To control the volume of the subwoofer I got a JBL Nano Patch+ Volume Control which is right after the Apogee Duet Audio Interface output. This is definitely the right choice for those looking for a great sealed subwoofer, powerful as the F15HP, with very small footprint and only cost $849 with shipping included.

I just got a similar package yesterday and a whole holiday weekend off to tune. All I could manage was getting it unboxed and in place of my old HSU with the default tweaks the guide its sent with. Sounds good but i need to break out the whole mic setup and measure for the gain.

I just finished to unbox the LVX12 as well. It's ready and running on the bedroom setup. This thing is just crazy good. Accurate as any of our sealed subwoofers but a monster in terms of output. Now I have a pair of F12SEs in my media room, an L22 on my desktop near field setup and a LVX12 in my bedroom setup. All of them available for demo to any local customer (Houstonians). BTW, my apt is 710 sq. ft.

I'm a very good neighbor and that's why I got a pair of these, one for the L22 and one for the LVX12

After 9 pm I press the mute button down and no subwoofers in my house

BTW, I haven't got a complaint in the last 5 years so either I'm a good neighbor or my neighbors are deaf

A bit of a difference in size between the Rythmik E15HP and the Velodyne HGS 10 Series II it replaces. The Velo has been a great performer for 13 years. Quite a kick for such a small cube.
I needed a friend to help me load the Rythmik into its new home.

nice pics enrico, the matt version is gorgeous. Is Rythmik planning to have it for the other models too?

By the way, could u share what's the difference in strengths between the ported LVX12 VS the sealed E15HP? And also in terms of midbass and the distortion. Thanks. =)

If I'm not mistaken, matte black and black oak are standard options on all Rythmik subs.

By the way, could u share what's the difference in strengths between the ported LVX12 VS the sealed E15HP? And also in terms of midbass and the distortion. Thanks. =)
Black Matte and Black Oak are standard finishes in all our models, except for the F25 that only comes in Black Oak.

The good thing about Direct Servo is that ported subwoofers have basically same accuracy as sealed subwoofers so it's very hard to tell a difference between ported vs sealed. In this case, for a normal listener would be very hard to find a difference between the LVX12 and the E15HP, mostly if you run the LVX12 in one port mode. I put the L22 and the LVX12 side by side and it was really a challenge even for me to find a difference with some material. The LVX12 has a little bit more punch on the mid bass region but like I said, really hard to hear that difference. Both subwoofers having Direct Servo technology, distortion is something to not be worry about. A more apples to apples comparison would be between the E15HP vs L22. Things that favor the E15HP over the L22: Connectivity (XLR2 and XLR3 options available), speaker level inputs, PEQ and Piano Black finish. For most people with AVRs with room correction systems like Audyssey, YPAO, ARC, etc, the L22 would be a more natural choice and also you can save some money

With all the Rythmik models and price points, no one has to settle for an Hsu or SVS anymore!

Finally had a chance to go and pick mine up today, it's been a long few weeks knowing it was sitting waiting for me. I'm glad it's double boxed and packed with lots of foam, she took a beating during transport.

Good thing I have an appliance moving dolly, I don't know how I would have been able to get it in the house by myself. Someone asked if I bought a new washing machine, when I said it was a subwoofer they had this puzzled look on their face and asked "why?" Lol. I guess it's just a little bit larger then what most people associate a subwoofer with.

Now time to rattle some stuff
