Oh, I am not afraid to ruin the grill - just wanted to offer up a suggestion I thought might be helpful. I have plenty of superglue here at home. As soon as they're available I will be buying one and gluing it on when it comes.

Thanks for the suggestion. I already told Brian about the double sided 3M tape

In that case, I'll skip the logo since I don't want to try my luck with super glue and a $600 sub. I'm not really the DIY type.

I've never had to do anything DIY before (with HT) and would rather skip the logo than risk having to buy another grill. I see that is not the norm here, but I'm sure it is outside the ID companies. Why is this difficult to understand?

In any case, I think offering a peel and stick on option might be helpful if for no other reason than convenience and ease. Not sure super glue is what most had in mind when the logos were being discussed the last couple months.

No worries... I already asked Brian for half dozen of logos for me to try at home different alternatives, including double sided tape and maybe a magnetic option.

I like the idea of magnets too. Anyone have pics of an example of how this works/looks?

Seems very unlikely to be a good long lasting solution. Then people will complain theyre falling off.
Im fine with gluing it myself.

Like I said, I'm going to try different solutions. I have 4 subwoofers at home so I can get very creative. As for the magnetic solution, my plan is to use magnetic tape on the back of the logo then a small metal plate on the inside side of the grill so the grill cloth will be between the magnet and the metal plate. But my preferable solution still is Loctite Super Glue Gel.

I'll agree I was underwhelmed. But the bass is what it had going for it, if anything, and the sub really shined throughout.

That said, once you understand that you are paying for bling and not performance, blingy systems can be very cool (as long as they still sound good.)

Lol, it's still not magnetic.

It's just stuck to something that is.

I'm being silly and facetious but really there are a lot of ways to do it.

If it's going into the wood trim of the grill, I'd probably like a couple of nail/tack-like spikes to tap it into place.

If placing the sub near an HVAC vent, is there is minimal distance the back of the sub should be from the vent to avoid any potential problems?

I'm asking because the *only* corner in which my LV12R fits has a vent (low, near the floor on the wall) and I want to know how much clearance to give the sub to be safe.

Projector is on the list. However, I might get some better seating first. Getting really tired of the couch I have. Very uncomfortable.

Also, that first position I have a huge null from my mlp. I walk 2 ft and it gets louder. 6 feet and it's a whole new sub. Time to move it around until I can find a good enough spot to watch movies until I have some days off to actually REW it

I will mess around with it a bunch when I have time again. For now just need to find a spot for it that sounds decent and wait till I can REW it

That spot where the FV15HP is right now is the worst spot for about 90% of people. If you switch places with the right speaker so the subwoofer is closer to the side wall (corner loaded) it will sound much much better and you will gain +3dB output.

There was actually a huge null from that spot. Moved it around and still not getting a good level. Think audessey neutered it.

Edit: turns out 12 'o clock isn't 0db on the gain. Turns out like 10 o' clock is 0db so I have to re-eq it.
