Haha... thanks for pointing that out - I did attach the pic, but did not "share" the album resulting in broken image. It should be visible now.

Non-matching subs to go with my dual L12's

I have 2 dual L12's that are in the front of my room. I'm gonna work at Best Buy over the holidays and I'll get a sweet discount. I ran cable when constructing my basement so I can fit 2 more subs. The L12's don't have a ton of power (for my Home theater preference and placement) and I'm thinking I should have gotten the LV12R's. Nonetheless, I have an opporunity to add more subs in the back of my room about directly straight back from the other L12's and the placement with them.

Here are my options. Perhaps the answer is none and I'll continue on with my dual L12's

Maybe having a Mac is the key? I'm on a PC using Firefox 49 and all I get is a pic with a minus in it.

This is what I see with my iPhone:

Now I'm in church getting ready for rehearsal and I see the minus symbol you guys are talking about. In my house was able to see the pictures but not here in church. I think the cloud server where the pictures are stored is blocked here in church, maybe for security reasons or just a firewall setting.

There is some sharing issue with google photos -- I can view it on tapatalk, but not on a PC. Again I can view it on a Mac. Let me attach it to this post...

I can only see the last picture, but I suppose that's all that matters.

I see you were working out gradually to lift it into position...

Congrats and welcome to the family Rythmik!

Interesting... I'm running Windows 7 on my PC. I can see the photo in my Palemoon browser which was based on Firefox but have gone their own way, that said, I can not see it in Firefox or Iron (Chrome based).

Haha... True - I did work out gradually for its placement, and took me a good while before setting it up. The Rythmik slide trick is pure genius!

And yes, the last picture is uploaded/attached to the forum post, unlike previous failed attempts of google photos!

This sub brings smiles every time I hear it, it's almost invisible but fires with authority unlike any other I've experienced! ☺️

I would stick with identical subs for matching, or at least sealed Rythmiks (since your current ones are sealed).

I'm new to this forum and I'm currently setting up a new home theater. Given the home theater setup is located within larger room, I was about to purchase one FV15HP subwoofer. However, I'm having second thoughts and now wondering if I should instead use that money to purchase two slightly less expensive subwoofers and go with dual FVX15 units instead. For a HT setup within a large room, could the two less powerful subwoofers become a better solution than a single higher powered one? I don't want to stretch the budget enough for dual FV15HP's. Thank you!

My room is over 5500 cuft, and one 15" was never enough IMO. Dual FV15HP's was proven to be better by seat of the pants feel AND running REW. Id get the best dual setup you can for the money.

65" EF9500 / DMP-UB900 / HDfury Integral
AV7702 MKII / Model 5000

Duals FVX15s would be my choice. Duals FV15HPs would be better, though

Did you ever have a chance to compare the sound quality between your FV15hp and the sb13?

Nah, dual FV18 or FV25 is what he wants.

If you are within the return period of 45 days, you could return them and get dual LV12Rs or bigger. However, if not consider nearfield placement and running things a bit hotter for more bass and more tactile response.

Also, use REW to make sure you don't have any major nulls in the bass region and that they are properly integrated with the mains/cc. Also, set all speakers to small with 80Hz crossover (though you might need a higher crossover if your speakers are small or if there are nulls in the speakers bass response).

In other words, short of getting more capable subs the best you can do is optimize what you already have. And if you can get more capable subs, get one really good one and then add a identical 2nd one when funds permit.

+1, better to have a little extra in the tank (headroom) than max out your sub(s) on a regular basis. The bigger the room and the louder the listening levels, the more sub you need (and vice versa).
