And when kits are available, will it be possible to order an F28HP kit and install it in two enclosures, as can now be done with the F25 kit?

Yes, you would be able to do that because the HX2000XLR3 has dual amp-servo modules same as the HX800XLR3 in the F25.

Oh god damn it, go figure... F18HP woulda fit my bill exactly, but the money's already spent. I'll have to put together a stereo for the main floor too now, I guess.. hahah

Wow, Rythmik's line up has grown immensely since I got my LV12R last fall.

On a side note, I just watched Don't Breathe and it has an awesome amount of ulf/deep bass. I felt the soundtrack more than I heard it and it was really good at creating a palpable sense of dread/tension.

I can only imagine how it would sound of one of these more extreme models...

First we need to find out if this A300SE is servo o not. I can send you a picture later but the easy wat to check is looking inside the amp and check for two pair of wires. If the amp has only one pair of wires then it's a non-servo amp. You can also check if it has the servo board like the one in the picture.

The A300SE is a good amp but it lacks LPF switch so you have only 12dB/per octave slope with the crossover knob and for music I do prefer 24dB/per octave slope.

So when do I get my F18HP??? I am seriously interested in this model. When is the likely availability next year?

I would like to go the analog way, because I have analog sources (turntable) and don't like adc-dac conversion.
Do you think just using the highpass-output (80hz) of the Rythmik-amplifier and then feeding my amp is a bad idea? Is there an audible degradation in the sound quality? The speakers are very analytical, so....

Andy
I would start by using the HPF output because it is easy and free. If it's good enough you are done and can spend the money on movies and music instead. Oh, wait, did I say that? I meant "give the remainder to your friendly online consultant", yeah, that's it...

I have spoken with Brian in the past about the HPF circuit but I had a crossover on hand and wanted a different frequency setting so never actually tried it (or only for a few minutes, no real listening). IIRC he said it was a good circuit but probably not as good in something like the Bryston, but consider the cost... I would definitely give it a try first!

HTH - Don

p.s. I had Infinity IRS 2's for a while, Magnepans now... Rythmik subs are an excellent choice for use with "revealing" speakers.

The prototype is ready and it's coming in the mid January container. We hope to start selling the F18HP by the end of March - mid April. We will be offering it in the there finishes (black oak, matte black and piano black). The price is $200 more than the F15HP. Output wise, the F18HP is between 1dB and 1.5dB less than F25.

That sounds great on the F18HP. Make mine Piano Black and have the XLR3 inputs and I'll be pumped. I might even want two.

Dare I ask for size/specs on the F28 behemoth coming?
