Its beautiful! Did you get AE drivers for it? How much did your total come out to with everything and shipping?

Did you get all the speakers before or with the cabinet?

You had better get that together during the weekend, I hear the weather is going to be best for speaker building

oh, i got all the drivers and cabinet shipped in separate boxes. My son and i were figuring how to assemble them together. I am waiting for a friend to come over and help me haul them up before putting them together. Now to figure where to put it in my <1000sq loft.

Cabinet looks real nice

I have some questions and I apologize if they've been answered already,

1.what is the diff between the single cab dual 15's vs the single cab 15+dual 18 pr's?

2. on the above units, how might they compare outputwise to some of the top ID offerings, i.e. Epik Empire, Submerssive,

3. I don't see much info on these kits on their forum, am I missing something?

1. The main difference is that the single cab 15" with dual PR's has more output around the 15hz-30hz area and is going to be flatter in the frequency response. The single cab with dual 15's should have more output below 15hz or so and more output above 30hz or so. You're going to need a lot more power for the single cab with dual 15's and probably some eq.

2. The AV15H/X subs are very well made, can take at least 1,000 watts each and weight some 40-lbs each. I'm using the AV15X driver which work better in a bigger enclosure while the AV15H does better with smaller enclosures, but it's a minimal difference. Anyways, my guess is that the AE cab with dual 15" drivers should have more output than the Empire and with enough power applied to them should be close to a Submersive in output. From all the comments I've read, they all have excellent SQ. Actually, I can say that the AV15X strenght is its SQ. It would be interesting/fun to do a sub comparison with all these great subs to see how they would compare.

3. AE just updated their forum in the last couple of days to include price and some graph simulations for their sub kits.

Why didn't you try it out upstairs first? Just due to the weight I assume?

Me too!

I just love John's cabinet work.
These are all so pretty.

My first really nice subs were built by him.
Sadly my friend Wade has them now.
