I know a guy, who knew a guy, who said he talked to a guy that said they were good. Seriously though, "good" is relative. Like the man who screams too much when he sings said, as opposed to what, are they good?

may want to check out some of the sound stores if any are close,, they usually have some Def Tec gear on hand for audition,, be sure to take along something your familiar with for sound though,, also nice if they would allow a home trial period or be sure there is an open return policy if they do not audition good in your home,,

they have made some great speakers over the years with many satisfied customers,, I use a clr2500 for my center and Bp-2x for the rears,, I also run their 7002 towers for my fronts along side my Altec Voice of Theaters, yes four fronts,,

Derry

Common sense is not common,,

Gunned 1.6QRs & Altec VOTTs

def tech locally at bbr?

they are ok sub but in that price range you can get much much better.

I have not heard the dt trinity and from what i read its good... i have only heard the supercube III and the ref... i think for the money they are not "good value" and other brands in the same price range will perform better or same for a bit less.

Unless space is an issue.. then def tech probably is as good as it gets.

I sold my supercube I and bought an MFW-15 for roughly half the price. It not in the same leauge as the MFW-15 due to the difference in displacement and driver, 15" vs 10" IF space is an issue then it wil give you a decent performance, but for true home theater performance step up to one the 15" driver listed in this forum.
