How often does the 'Volume' led blink on your OS? At what volume is the sub volume knob at for you when it begins doing this?

Mine are at 2 clicks from lowest and I just noticed the LED on both were blinking continuously. Master volume was at -20, and subs were set at -3 on the AV. Just saw it today. Never saw the LEDs flicking like that before.

are you speaking of the signal light? It lights when it detects a signal. the yellow (or red I forget because this thing never clips) light flickering means you are getting close to clipping.

I have the volume set at -3dB on the front 's and -5dB on the rear OS but way down on the pre pro (-10dB). This way I can trim to much higher levels without fussing with the OS directly plus the sub is very quiet with the signal chain set up like this in my system.

Ok, false alarm. It was the signal led...I was walking around them and the amp is in the shadows. Brain fart. Volume has been a solid green light. Haven't noticed any clipping ever.

I'll have to try setting the levels with your method. Um...How many clicks on the sub do you have the fronts at again...is that -3db about 3/4 of the clockwise you're talking about

yes, 3 clicks back from full on. At first the dial is backing out 1dB at a time then further down the dial it increases how much it drops with each click. Look with a flash light you will see what I mean.

I set it similar to your method...-10 on the av...and then set sub amp to -10. First time going this high with everything else dialed in...I put on a Star Trek into darkness...oh...my...goodness...freaking awesome. My whole body was getting punched. Can't believe I've been holding back these things all this time. I was thinking of just gg and treatments only, but there is just no way I can NOT seal the room now. Whisper clips and all.

go for it man, turn them up! you obviously have good skill for tuning and IMHO it becomes more and more important as you unleash these babies. It got to be like a controlled monster. You don't want King Kong running all over your house unless KING KONG IS RUNNING ALL OVER YOUR HOUSE!!

cheers
