I need help. Will the Polk Audio PSW PSW10 subwoofer work with Monitor 60 and Polk Audio CS1? I need a Subwoofer but do not know what to get? My family room is 21 x 13, with vaulted ceiling if that helps out. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes it will work.

Now the bigger question is what are you expecting from your subwoofer? The room you have is pretty large. The polk will not be able to fill that room with bass. What is your budget?

Are you asking because they are $90 right now? I would go with two at least.

Probably need 4 or more. 90$ should be their list price. They are on par with Sonys 10". I would save and spend more on a decent sub. Oh, and I am a Polk fan, minus their subs.

I was asking about the PSW10 because of the $90 price. I am trying to safe money if possible.

the psw10 is not a good sub at all. Really weak, heavy distortion when it tries to dig remotely low, I wouldnt buy one at all.

If you can mustard up 200 dollars and shoot for a bic f-12 or h100, it would be a huge improvement and only slightly over 100 bucks more to do it. I would not purchase a psw10.

I am looking to grab one on craigslist for $50. This will only be for a computer setup, and just want something to fill in around 40-60Hz where my Monitor 30s will drop off. I am in an apartment with neighbors, and felt like this would be a good deal. Any thoughts?

I have a BIC F-12 in my living room and love it, but do not want to spend that much for a computer setup, and my neighbors wouldn't be too pleased with that either

Living Room
Samsung PN60F5300 | Denon DBP-1611 | Roku 3
Denon AVR-1713 | EMP E55Ti | EMP E56Ci | EMP E5Bi | BIC F-12

Computer
Topping TP23 | NHT SuperZero 2.0 | Velodyne DEQ-8R

I had this sub for about 2 months until I upgraded to a BIC H100. Test tones under 40hz really showed the weakness in the sub, although it is pretty good as a general music sub. Save your money for something a bit better, trust me.

Waiting for MST3k BD 3D 7.1

A month after deciding the PSW10 was good enough for my 10x13 room, I wanted to take it back. After you listen to more and more music, the bass doesn't sound as "cool" as it used to. Definitely go the extra step and spend more on the sub.

Bic F-12 would work well with what you have. Set your speakers to "small", with a crossover of 80hz. I've got the F-12 with similar Polks setup that way, and it's a great HT setup!
