Do you mean your onkyo receiver is not being used atm? I beleive you need a seperate amp or seperate reciever from your system reciever to power them.
I just got 2 Aura Pro Bass Shakers and a SA240 plate amp to power them (from Parts Express). It's a pretty cool enhancement to my HT for relativley low cost.
