ShadyJ is right. I would also rotate the amp so the amp is in the normal orientation - controls are furthest from the floor.

That soundtrack was pretty good! Also if anyone is in the mood for horror, As Above, So Below has some terrific moments in bass.

Dr Hsu, so today I put on transformers 4 and from the very beginning I heard no sound from my Vtf -15. Yesterday it was working fine watched TMNT, no problems.

I checked the cables and made sure it was not disconnected by accident. I also checked the fuse and it's in perfect order condition. Any more suggestions on trouble shooting the subwoofer, I beleive purchased it on 2011.

I would contact them directly at 1-800-554-0150 or techsupport@hsuresearch.com It will be quicker than waiting for a reply on the forum.

Oddly enough, I ran into something very similar last night. I turned my system on as usual and since my 15H's are set to auto, they power up when they get a signal. Problem was that only one kicked on and was giving any output. I even got the one that wasn't powered up's light to turn green. I checked the sub cable at the avr and just as you said....touched the end and no sound but the other sub was acting fine.

Again, I hadn't changed a thing since the last time I used the system. Luckily, I was able to get the offending sub to respond by moving the sub cable from the working sub and trying that one. So that's good news. Tells me that there's something going wrong with the cable itself. It is about a 30 foot run around furniture. Haven't actually checked the cable run yet but hopefully it's that simple to fix.

Prime316 thanks for chiming in. Kuro6010 may want to try connecting an ipod or something to one of the RCA sub inputs on the back of the sub and see if he gets any sound. Like you it might just be a cable issue.

So it was the RCA cable that went bad , lucky you, that's an easy fix. I tried another RCA cable and still didn't work. Don't know if I need a special RCA cable for the sub. I guess I will find out when I call Monday morning.

K , so from the trouble shooting I conducted it seems like the amp went bad on my subwoofer.

The warranty on the amp is 2 years.
I want to say I purchased my sub mid December 2012. So I will let you guys now what the outcome is on Monday after calling The Hsu office.

They're really easy to work with, give them the serial number, they'll let you know how much if any warranty is left.

Best of luck, Kuro. I know that's a sinking feeling. I was like, man it's just a big black heavy box that just sits there. How can anything go wrong with it.

Thanks guys, I was looking foward to watching some movies this weekend. But watching a movie w/o my Vtf-15, it's like eating a big juicy rib-eye with a balloon wrapped around my tounge. Luckily I have a 20 min commute to the Hsu wharehouse.

Finally got off my lazy behind and found out what happened with my audio cable. Looks like the run was so long I had to actually use a connector to put two cables together. That had just come loose. While I had everything all over the place, I decided to move my subs completely. Now they are on either side of the main listening position.

I am certainly getting a lot of tactile feedback. We'll see how well this setup works out.

Just drove to the HSU office and dropped off my Vtf-15. They advised me that the driver is bad. So the cables were not the issue, nor the amp. Which I tought was going to be the problem. Thank God the driver has a 7 year warranty. So, it's getting fixed as I type away. Kevin from HSU was super nice and took care of me.

Man glad to hear it was the driver, and won't cost you anything. When will you get it back?

I waited just 1 hour. Drove around the area and did some errands while they fixed it. Sounds phenomenal after conducting the Audessey calibration. Now just re positioning my Dolby Atmos enable speakers to get the best sound possible. subwoofer sounds even better now.
