Beastie Boys Video Anthology DVD, Intergalactic. I've always thought this is some awesome slamming bass. It has a pumping bass line (not my favourite track of theirs but bass is awesome). Wondering if anybody else ever demo'd this and whether they feel as strongly as I do about the merits of this track in this thread? Make sure you choose the 5.1 mix in the audio menu prior to playing.

Klipsch: KLF-30, KLF C-7, KG 5.5, KG 4.2 Power&Preamp: Elektra Theatron, Rotel RSP 1570
Subs: Dual Passive JTR 2400 Captivators
Power Amps: Behringer EP 4000, Crown XLS 5000

Subwoofer songs - recommendation of the day!

Garbage by Numbernin6

This has nice, deep, aggressive bass and is my new demo track. Not sure where to put it genre-wise, d-n-b maybe or grungy dubstep if you prefer. Enjoy!

(Drops at about :50 seconds)

Although this may not be the best song in the world, justin timberlakes "spaceship coupe" has a strange deep bass rolloff that is pretty cool. Makes my walls flex pretty good at loud levels.

Blasting brown notes for 10 years and counting!

For Alan Parsons Project fans.

Freudiana (1989 Studio Cast)

Written & composed by APP's Eric Woolfson (except one that Parsons himself wrote the music to). Parsons produced the soundtrack and Woolfson also served as the executive producer of the soundtrack, which was engineered by Parsons with Tony Richards.

Track 2 (last couple of minutes) has really powerful bass.

Gesaffelstein, French DJ with awesome, dark, almost minimalist beats. "Destinations" below should reward good subs but I've only tested it in my car and with headphones so far.

Here is a short nasty tune I found with some deep and hot bass,
. The bassline hovers around 35 Hz, pretty deep for music, even for dupstep, and dips into the high 20s at points. This will give your sub a workout, fun tune!

It seems as the version var "bass boosted". Thats why it sounds so strange. Newbie me, thought thats how it was supposed to sound, because I have the song on my computer, and it sounds just like that

Not an uber low track, but a great one for sure. I absolutely LOVE this track at high levels and it is a good overall track, not just two robots doing it like some dubstep sounds like.

Great thread! Having just finished all 24 pages, here are a few tracks I recently rediscovered now that I have subs:
U2, 'Achtung Baby', Love Is Blindness
Peter Gabriel, 'Us', Love To Be Loved', 'Blood Of Eden', 'Secret World' (It was like hearing these three for the first time as there is so much happening below 50 Hz or so...)
Virgil Fox, 'Selections' (This CD used to come with Hsu subs and it's all acoustic and all amazing. Without subs it isn't very musical...)

Thanks to all the prior posters who've helped me re-find a bunch of tracks I already had!

Peace,

Jon

Clean...

Rusko has some pretty sick remixes.

I'll be turning this one up for sure when I get my gear here in a few weeks (hopefully).

Rough. I actually think it's going to be worse when I get my gear here in a few weeks.

I can't wait to show you guys some graphs. This place is an acoustical nightmare...to the point that it's hard to understand what the person next to you is saying without them having to raise their voice. That's just with the A/C running....going to be fun trying to tame this place down.

Good lord, that song made me cough!

I googled the forum and couldn't find anyone else recommending this so: Rammstein's Du Hast.

Old favorite of mine, haven't listened to it in months before getting my new speakers. So enjoy

LOVE Du Hast!!!!

Here is a GEM I just randomly hit listening tonight. This track is pretty incredible. I had no idea it was this impressive. The drop stops a little short, but, there are plenty, and I just feel like the track itself makes me want to jump up and go do something intense! Not, like kill people like the movie or anything. I was more on the lines of base jumping or bombing a nice 40ft drop on the skis or something.....eh.... nevermind. Just enjoy the track

Turn off that HPF junk... Remember, when you heard it at my place, I had like a 8db boost at 10Hz on my mini... Sucks your iNuke will only let you shelf down to 20Hz, but you still should enjoy on your new sealed system.
